Welcome to the DISTRICT REPORT CARD TO THE COMMUNITY!
The District Report Card to the Community is our way of sharing information regarding our students and staff with the community stakeholders. Accountability is a major part of today's educational system. Accountability is the idea of holding schools, districts, educators, and students responsible for results. The results are measured through student performance on assessments. Big Horn County School District #2 maintains accountability through this goal defined in the District Strategic Plan.
The Report Card to the Community is based on results from the WY-TOPP state assessment. However, due to the closure of 2019-20, students in Wyoming did not take the assessment. Because of this, the 2029-20 Report Card will remain in place for the 2020-21 school year.
Big Horn County School District #2 Strategic Plan: Goal #3
Our schools will meet or exceed expectations set out by the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act (WAEA) and the federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA).
State accountability is defined through the Wyoming Accountability in Education Act (WAEA). Federal accountability is defined through the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). This report card is designed to inform the public about our district through the "lens" of these accountability systems.
