Lovell Elementary School

Lovell Elementary School Title I Procedures
 
We strive to "support and strengthen each individual student to meet grade-level essential standards."
 
I. Identification: A student may be identified as needing reading remediation, but a permission letter to receive Title I services is sent home first.

II. Intervention: Once permission is given, the student may receive small group instruction, extended instructional time, or more in-depth instruction with a Title I teacher. (Tier II support is fairly intensive, while Tier III support is the most individualized and intense support a student can receive.)

III. Progress Monitoring: The student is then progress monitored through aimswebPlus and other monitoring tools in order to ensure that the student is receiving the appropriate instruction.
 
IV. Exiting:  Once a student is at grade-level reading, he/she no longer receives the above interventions, but continues to be monitored to ensure he/she is maintaining appropriate growth. There is a transition process for students heading into Lovell Middle School so that appropriate services continue.
