Course Level/Grade Level Alignment: The next step of alignment is used to determine alignment to content area standards within a course or a grade level. The document is built on a matrix with the following components.

The alignment matrix is used for horizontal alignment to ensure consistent instructional outcomes within a grade level or course. It is also used to determine vertical alignment to establish a comprehensive K-12 system. Contact the District for specific examples of these alignments.
