The Big Horn County School District #2 Comprehensive Teacher Evaluation Framework is designed to facilitate ongoing reflective practice and professional dialogue between the evaluating administrator and the teacher for the following purposes:

1. Ensure that all students have access to and are learning the essential Wyoming Content and Performance Standards at high levels.
2. Support teachers with frequent and ongoing feedback, based on their performance relative to the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards, to improve teaching and learning in the classroom.
3. Ensure that teachers are engaged in continuous professional development and reflective practice.

This framework also provides a systematic process that:

1. Holds teachers accountable to meet the performance expectations established by the district.
2. Supports school administrators in making important employment decisions.
