The Big Horn County School District #2 Comprehensive Teacher Evaluation Framework is designed to facilitate ongoing reflective practice and professional dialogue between the evaluating administrator and the teacher for the following purposes:
- Ensure that all students have access to and are learning the essential Wyoming Content and Performance Standards at high levels.
- Support teachers with frequent and ongoing feedback, based on their performance relative to the Wyoming Professional Teaching Standards, to improve teaching and learning in the classroom.
- Ensure that teachers are engaged in continuous professional development and reflective practice.
This framework also provides a systematic process that:
- Holds teachers accountable to meet the performance expectations established by the district.
- Supports school administrators in making important employment decisions.
