LES Clubs and Activities
Student Council / Leadership - We have student elections for representatives of the student body, we also have students from each classroom volunteer to serve as classroom representatives on this team. The representatives rotate every trimester to provide for new students to be able to participate. These students have school personnel who advise them in their duties of fundraising, spirit weeks, awards assemblies, morning announcements, service projects, and classroom competitions.
Pups Club - is an after-school program that provides students an opportunity to play games, do art projects, recreate and receive homework help. The program is primarily geared towards students who do not have an adult at home when school gets released but is open to all students who would like to participate.
Field Trips - All of our grade-level teams take field trips, providing our students with an opportunity to become acquainted with the amazing basin we live in. These trips connect to our school reading, social studies, and science curriculum and provide authentic experiences for all our students. We have field trips to the "Buffalo Bill Center of the West" in Cody, the buffalo jump in Devils Canyon, a Downtown tour, an Ecosystem field trip to our local visitor's center, and many more.
Swimming Lessons - Our K-5 students receive swimming lessons in the month of September. Each grade has 4 hours of swimming instruction provided by the local recreation department.
On campus raised gardens - We have some raised gardens on the school campus that produce some vegetables which are incorporated into our school lunches.
Spirit Weeks - Throughout the school year, our student council plans spirit week activities and dress-up days to correlate with important community and national events like Homecoming Week and Red Ribbon Week. This planning process provides leadership opportunities for our student body leaders and fun for the student body to engender a spirit of community.
Awards Assemblies - We have Character awards 5 times a year to honor students from each classroom for living our school code of conduct - PRIDE, Purpose, Respect, Integrity, Determination, and Empathy. These students are honored with a certificate and T-shirt for their exemplary behavior and effort to live the Bulldog way.
We have student lunchroom helpers
All students have SEL curriculum presented once a week.
We have 1-1 and group counseling sessions, depending on the student's need.
