Instruction
Big Horn County School District #2 utilizes high-leverage instructional strategies to increase student engagement and active learning in all classrooms across the district. BGH2 is committed to an instructional framework that personalizes learning for every child through:
Environments that are safe and inclusive, and honor students' unique voices, strengths, interests and needs (differentiation, multiple teaching/learning strategies, etc.)
Planning that is collaborative with a focus on and a commitment to student learning (PLC's, continuous professional development)
Instruction that is rigorous, responsive, standards-aligned, relevant, and researched-based
Assessments that are continuous and used to inform and adapt the learning process
BGH2's goal to establish and maintain a well-aligned, guaranteed, rigorous, and viable K-12 curriculum based on the Wyoming Content and Performance Standards is embedded in and reached through our curriculum, assessment, instruction, MTSS System, District Assessment System, and Comprehensive Teacher Evaluation Framework.
