Remote Education
Remote Education: Big Horn County School District #2 will provide remote learning for students who are quarantined or experience short periods of needed absences throughout the year. This system of instruction is intended to allow absent students to attend in-person classes virtually.
This remote option is not a full-time virtual school, therefore, students may not use the remote option as their primary means of education.
Teaching & Learning: Instruction will be provided by district teachers who are all certified through Wyoming PTSB, Big Horn #2. The virtual system will utilize the Canvas Learning Management System for instruction both onsite and for virtual learning. All teachers have been engaged in professional development and will continue to receive ongoing professional development in the use of Canvas as well as other best practices for teaching in a remote learning environment. Big Horn #2 will continue to use the 1:1 iPad system for students to access the remote learning system.
